慕容亞明先生專車行駛在剛剛鋪好的雪面，一行人從太原市的城北向城南移動，「去你家可以嗎」拍攝小組準備去東東家/展銷場太原轉運中心稍作拜訪。車子抄近道在路燈稀少的小巷穿行，聽著後排廣州來的朋友講著香港某些公園，大陸新移民過去的大媽跟當地大爺良好的友誼締結故事，聊起香港——某何姓藝術家——獨立出版——坐在副駕駛的東東突然目光炯炯鎖定了後排另一位鄭州來的朋友——「誒，你可以當慢遞員的哇？」
在东东家交接时，慢递员慕容亚明童鞋依然敬业的手持相机进行着“去你家可以吗”的拍摄，以致表情定格。后来拍摄小组因过了十点还在玩乐器遭到楼上邻居拍门投诉，聚会在高潮中戛然而止
Driving from north end of Taiyuan to the south, Mr. MURONG makes a turn on a road blanketed with freshly fallen snow. "Can we go to your place?" he asks to Ms. DD, light logistician of the Taiyuan Relay Centre. They shortcut through a few small alleyways, listening to a friend from Guangzhou sitting in the backseat talking about some park in Hong Kong. She's newly emigrated to Hong Kong from the mainland and a good friend of Mr. MURONG. As they talk about Hong Kong, and then a certain artist named HO in Hong Kong, and then independent publishing, Ms. DD's eyes suddenly widen with a twinkle: "Hey, do you want to be a slow courier?"
As they near Ms. DD's home/Taiyuan Relay Centre, courier Mr. MURONG dutifully picks up his camera and asks, "Can we document the way to your house then?" After they finally make it back, their gathering continues with the playing of music instruments, until a sudden complaint of after 10pm noise from the neighbour upstairs shuts the party down.

After getting in touch with the receiver, courier Ms. LI finds out that he has already left Hangzhou for winter holiday, so instead she relays dispatch HQL-352 to another friend who lives in Hangzhou, also a former classmate with the surname LI. A certain Ms. Bella LI studying film directing at a certain school in California started from 2018 a new habit of spending Christmas holidays in Taiyuan, staying at her old high school teacher Ms. DD's house. This time, amidst the happy atmosphere of "Let's not go out today" and "Let's order take-out" and "Do you wanna do moxibustion together", Ms. DD receives a couriering errand from LIGHT LOGISTICS, and passes it on to Ms. BELLA. When Ms. BELLA sees a LIGHT LOGISTICS call for couriers ad on the back cover of one issue of Fong Fo, she retorts, "Hey, DD, this couriering thing is supposed to be voluntary, I think I'm not volunteering here! from LIGHT LOGISTICIAN：hallo dear WS: I believe i remember seeing something about a Palestine sharing at IRA that you were involved with, really great for you to do a sharing... recently i attended something similar from people who have been involved with the womens communes in Rojava... so inspiring, but every good thing feels like only a small exception... so the question i guess would be—however contradictory—how to make a world of exceptions...?

divergence... ha. anyhow, the reason to write to you was to check and see if you were able to finally pick up your books in the end, and if you have any kind of documentation from your travels at all (with or without the books). i hope you will not mind, but we actually have decided to put this route in the BBA newsletter, hahah, because the packaging is from a poster made by our friends from Denpasar Kolektif, also BBA participants last year, and I guess somehow all the hands that it has passed through are related.

Courier Ms. PORTABLE drops off her first dispatch of several in Europe this holiday season after first passing through the forests of lower Austria and then by train back into the particular smells of Berlin-town. 收件人到了香港，和『展銷場』的慢遞員連續交流，一直等待一位在北角住宿，另一個轉運中心在新界屯門，可以有一個更方便的交界地點和時間；期間世界又縮小了一點——兩位發現還是有共同的朋友，中間人也本來打算慢遞到台灣的，可是收件人自己來到香港還是一個好機會；Telegram了幾天玩地理遊戲，21號晚上終於能約上派送和交接——收件人先逛了一天尖沙咀的歷史博物館，慢遞員何子在佐敦的Eaton酒店借用一個不用消費可以座一天的空間來幹活，後來兩位在Eaton大廳終於認識，聊一會關於台灣政治情況影響的旅行。收件人HW原來來到香港辦台灣沒法辦的孟加拉国簽證！接下來三個月就要把書先慢遞到孟加拉国出差

Here’s a midway dispatch update:

I’ve dispatched 5 of the book 9 books that I took. They’ve been given to Kin, Godwin, Selene, and Jia Yun, and a close friend, Fiona, interested in publishing, resistance and likes Hong Kong a lot. 2 books are for me and my partner Renée.

The books took quite a journey from parasite and through the protests that night at Hong Kong island. They might have little tear gas particles, but mostly sweat from that night.

I realized I didn’t actually tell any of the receivers this even though I had planned to. I’m not sure why either. I guess I didn’t want to sensationalize the happenings in Hong Kong anymore for friends who watch it from afar. Instead, I focused on the positive things that I got out of being in Hong Kong and joining the protests, rather than the teargas.

I really want to talk about the situation in Hong Kong more, in fact I feel like I have to, to get things out of my mind from watching it anxiously from afar everyday. I find it really difficult to talk about it in Singapore. I just got into a really bad quarrel with my dad about it. And the taxi driver who picked me from the airport after I came back from the airport had a long painful conversation about it too, calling me stupid kid for joining the movement.

I have been carrying a copy of the book in my bag everyday now partly because I’m still reading it and partly because I might bump into one of the receivers (this method of dispatch has worked well!). I read the book really slowly, and don’t really want to finish it. I guess because I still have a few to dispatch anyway. Maybe also because I’m still thinking of Hong Kong everyday.

Still waiting to bump into Vicks and Robert. I don’t see Robert often so I guess I will probably keep the book in my bag for some time more.

9月8日正式磪認這項慢遞的任務。以下的思考是發生在9月8日獲得更多資訊之後，究竟如何達成這次慢遞呢？
On 8 September I finalised the details of the courier errand. The following thoughts occurred to me that night after getting more information, but it was still a question, how would this slow-courier route go?

當我停一停定一定靜心望望關於「後勤慢遞」的思念，以及過去的紀錄，我直覺就問了「後勤慢遞」工作人員，點解要book客貨van？當時食左入個肚未講得完整的疑問是：慢遞好明顯就係批判晚期資本主要當中既有的關係及做法，反建議實踐起來，所以租客車，點對點既直接有效，而且物件的重量，連同慢遞員坐車實在太慳水慳力，所以都好似同個計劃不太配合，所以問了慢遞員一句，點解book車，我獲得的原因是：
When I stopped for a moment and took the time to think calmly about the thinking behind LIGHT LOGISTICS, and looked through the past records, my instinct was to ask the light logistician, why do I have to book a rental van for this transport? What lay at the bottom of my gut, but could not be fully expressed yet, was the doubt: LIGHT LOGISTICS is very clearly a counter-practice critical of the relations and ways of late-stage capitalism, so renting a van and going very efficiently directly from point to point, accompanied by a courier who rides along and barely moves a muscle, seems to not exactly fit the whole project. That's why I asked the light logistician about why the need to call a van, and this is the answer I received:

1、藝術作品要小心處理
2、近排社會氣氛也不支持搭地鐵
1) The artwork has to be handled carefully
2) There is a concern for boycotting the MTR because of recent sociopolitical events

我發現我聽既時做是在思考如何做了他人的這件事.我在9月9日食午飯時才把這件事發展成我的事。9月9日我在深水埗出發，大概用了既有起身食野過海的習慣去計算時間，預算了三點半抵達，我就用搭地鐘既時間同趕食飯的速度去諗，當我食午飯的時候，我想起了原因二，然後在明知一直會遲過三點半的預計下，施施然找中對號的巴士，氣定神閒去巴士站，就是3:40仍在巴士上寫著感想點解講左畀人知三點半會到，就好想三點半要到，呢件事真係要拆碎去望當中成份是什麼，有幾多係資本主義社會迫成你要咁樣
I realised that while I heard this I was contemplating the situation as if it was somebody else's issue. It wasn't until the 9th of September while I was eating lunch that I slowly came around and made this my issue. I calculated the usual time it would take me to get up, eat and cross the harbour, and departing from Shamshuipo, estimated that I could arrive by 3:30 pm. But while I was eating, I remembered the second answer about the MTR, so while looking for which bus to take instead it became clear that I would be later than my 3:30 estimate. I walked leisurely to the bus stop, and by 3:40 I was still on the bus, writing these thoughts down and thinking to myself why did I tell them I would arrive at 3:30? I really wanted to arrive by 3:30, but if we broke down that urgency, how much would we find of it to be created by capitalist society making us that way?

Anyway I dealt with it, despite still feeling a bit of resistance.
