This book features poems, stories, non-fiction, and illustrations produced by Filipino former migrant workers of the Association of Women in Action for Rights and Empowerment (Batis AWARE). This rich variety of narratives relate experiences of abandonment, exploitation, and/or trafficking of women, both as the wives of foreign nationals and as entertainers abroad.
