Description

作為翁唯的首部作品《吃辣椒》（2021）的續篇，《水之庇護》透過強烈的感官體驗，探索人類對刺激的原始渴求。翁唯層次豐富的攝影作品與迷人的敘事，深受華語與丹麥文學世界的影響，也塑造了她多重維度的創作實踐。本書帶讀者從《吃辣椒》中灼熱的辣椒素辛香，遊蕩浸入冰封的北國海景，將這個成長故事置於時間與空間想像的流動交界之上。

A sequel to Wei WENG’s first artist book Eat a Chili (2021), Water Refuge continues to explore notions of kinship via a primal appetite for thrill-seeking and intense sensory experience. Weng’s richly layered photographs and beguiling narrative are influenced by the Chinese and Danish literary worlds which have informed her multivalent practice. Now travelling from burning capsaicin spice to immerse readers in frigid northern sea landscapes, Water Refuge carries the coming of age story of Eat a Chili over a fluid cusp of time and spatial imagination, into the visually rich world of open sea swimmers.

翁唯  中国出生、现居墨尔本的艺术家翁唯，擅用摄影、大漆装置与文字探索自然与记忆的奇幻联结。持有加州艺术学院绘画硕士学（2005），作品展于京都、罗马、墨尔本等国际画廊，曾获徕卡巴纳克奖提名（2023）。其标志性项目如《悬嗣博物馆》（2026）与《空气猎人》（2024）以诗意视角融合现实与想象。

Born in China and now based in Melbourne, artist Wei WENG is known for using photography, lacquer installations, and speculative text to explore sensory connections between nature and memory. Holding an MFA in Painting from the California College of the Arts (2005), her work has been exhibited in international galleries in cities such as Kyoto, Rome, and Melbourne. She was nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award (2023). Her recent projects Museum of Lost Heirs (2026) and Air Hunter (2024) challenge the liminal and poetic borders of storytelling.
